Responsibilities

To be a key part of our product development group by coordinating work in design team. Driving design to the next level. Assigning leaders of activities and dedicated projects. Supervising the changes implemented in prototypes, considering customer requirements as well as internal departmental quality and functional requirements.

Our process requires close collaboration between teams to ensure optimal product manufacturability and functional integrity.

 

Main Tasks:

  • Initiate innovative projects and drive design team towards strategic objectives.
  • Analyze and clarify customer requirements and supports the development of products and technical solutions that meet these requirements.
  • Keep project development within budget.
  • Support work between departments on new technologies and their implementation for quality control, textile technology and production.

 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience on similar position or as Project Manager
  • Very good English (communication and technical)
  • Knowledge of PDM/ PLM and IFS systems
  • Analytical person with the ability to think in space
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design or Management.
  • Having experience in the PLM/PDM and IFS systems as well as in System Engineering is a plus.

NFM is looking for a Team Manager for R&D Ballistic to join our R&D department in Ski, Norway. This department is developing next generation body armor products based on in-depth knowledge on composite manufacturing. You will be part of the R&D team and responsible for new equipment and processes.

  • Leading a highly skilled and dedicated R&D team located in Norway and Poland.
  • Responsible for the R&D of ballistic solutions on the operational side.
  • R&D projects for national and international customers.

  • Utilizing state of the art shooting range, and world leading composite pressing technology.


Some international travelling will be required.

 

Education and experience:

  • University degree in physics, mechanical-, material engineering or similar.

The main purpose of the position:

To select and ensure the availability of textile raw materials for current and strategic projects and tenders.

 

Main Tasks:

  • comparison of material properties based on their technical specifications,
  • cooperation with suppliers related to raw material development,
  • creating a database of raw materials and alternative suppliers,
  • building and maintaining relationships with other departments in the organization,
  • identify appropriate sources for the development of new materials,
  • responsibility for the raw material testing process, including the selection of methods and keeping to deadlines,
  • raw material cards.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • higher technical education with specialization in Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Composites,
  • very good knowledge of English (required),
  • knowledge of textile and material science, knowledge and skills of working in a metrology laboratory (testing of raw materials),
  • knowledge of measurement techniques and ability to work with raw material specifications,
  • ability to work in a team, conscientiousness and high level of accuracy in everyday work,
  • knowledge of measurement techniques and the ability to analyze measurement results,

Responsibilities

Prepare patterns in Gerber Accumark system according to design and functional requirements.

 

Main tasks

  • Maintain an open communication with designers and technologist to ensure smooth transition of designs into products
  • Be able to work with various textile products that have complicated pattern requirements
  • Conduct proper sample fittings and issue necessary adjustments or corrections
  • Inspect the accuracy of sample pattern to ascertain that it follows design and functional requirements.
  • Alter sample if necessary, to satisfy cost specification and manufacturing limitations
  • Grade the patterns according to the required range of sizes (Gerber Accumark)
  • Prepare size tables.

 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as Pattern Maker
  • Good English (communication and technical)
  • Knowledge of Gerber Accumark or similar
  • Secondary technical specialized education in the scope of clothing construction

Responsibilities

To be a key part of our product development team by creating highly functional solutions that meet tenders’ specifications as well as product manufacturing and cost. You will be creating protective equipment to be used by soldiers in hostile environments. Our process requires close collaboration with textiles engineering and technological teams to ensure optimal product manufacturability and functional integrity.

 

Main Tasks:

  • Analyze product/system requirements and define technical solutions.
  • Plan the development of the project, including schedule and budget.
  • Supervise the production of prototypes in studio.
  • Verification of the prototype and acceptance of the design prior to implementation for production.

 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as Industrial Designer, or Textile Designer
  • Very good English (communication and technical)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of PDM or PLM systems
  • Analytical person with the ability to think toward functions not objects
  • Bechelor’s Degree in Industrial or Textile Design.
  • Having experience in the System Engineering is a plus.
