24 Feb NFM ACADEMY
Around 100 customers from the MOI, MOD, end-users and partners from all around the world joined us to launch our NFM Academy and the opening of our new Headquarters in Ski.
We learnt about combat clothing, ballistics, load bearing systems, helmet systems from the very best in their fields. Dr James Zheng, a science/ engineering professional recently retired Chief Scientist of the US Army, enlightened us on developments in Ballistics.
Jan Ahlberg has been engaged for the past 30 years in bridging the gap between the user experience of combat, the technical requirements and the technological solutions, both as a user and system developer, and focused on ergonomics and human physiology.
David Rogers, the designer of NFM’s HJELM helmet, explained the innovations present in the Generation IV helmets. David is President of Final Forge, a new product development company specializing in humancentric technology for the military, law enforcement, first responders, and homeland security.
Christian Aalborg, ex-Norwegian Armed Forces both in Norway and as a number of International operations as a soldier and officer, was one of NFM’s first employees. He updated the audience on the innovations in our GARM line of products.
In the workshop sessions, guests had the opportunity to test products and talk with our experts. In addition, the Academy was an excellent opportunity for networking and to introduce Norway to those who have not experienced its beauty.
